About the event

Bring your water sample to the Shiawassee Conservation District on March 8, 2023 from 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM to be tested for nitrites and nitrates only. This test can be completed within just a few minutes at the office.

When collecting your water sample:

  1. Pick a tap that doesn't run through a water softener or a hose. 
  2. Rinse the bottle and lid before collecting the sample.
  3. Run water for several minutes before collecting the sample. Three ounces of water is adequate.
  4. Keep the sample cold and dark until it is deleivered.
